He graduated in 2011 from Peninsula Medical School (now Exeter Medical School and University of Plymouth Medical School), and completed his foundation years in Devon and Cornwall. He then moved to New Zealand for just under 2 years to work in a hospital, and it was there that he was inspired to write this book, with the aim of trying to make learning fun. Ed is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
